South Dakota SHRM State Council

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the South Dakota SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) State Council website!

If you are not currently a member of one of the local chapters within the state, we encourage you to consider the benefits of membership including networking opportunities and educational programs that local chapters can provide.

The vision of the South Dakota SHRM State Council is to be the premier organization in our state for the professional development and advancement of the Human Resources profession.

Whether you are a small business owner seeking professional support from Human Resources, a human resource professional seeking opportunities to network & share best practices, a student seeking mentorship from a more experienced professional or a member of the business community wanting to know more about the Human Resources profession in general, we encourage you to contact any one of our seven local chapters in Aberdeen, Brookings, Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Watertown or Yankton for assistance.

The Mission of the South Dakota SHRM State Council is to Lead Human Resources in South Dakota through:
•    Human Resource expertise
•    Advocacy
•    Professional support
•    Educational opportunities
•    Networking

We encourage your participation in our scheduled events across the state. You can find a convenient listing of many of these events on the Meetings & Events tab of our site.

Your involvement and input is important to us to ensure the Council and the Chapters in South Dakota are offering the opportunities that are most valuable to you.

We look forward to the opportunity to provide resources in advancing the human resources profession within the State.

Please contact any state Council member or the leadership of one of the local chapters at any time for more information.
